Mini Copper Bowl Class

Play with hammers and copper and fire!

This class is ideal for small groups who want to learn something new together and leave with a finished piece of functional metal art.

4 flat metal discs, then 4 hammered metal bowls of the same shapes

You will learn to hammer out a bowl shape from flat sheet metal and create different textures to individualize your bowl.

4 copper bowls textured with different hammers, handmade in C Grisez art studio

Each participant will learn to use hammers, daps, the torch, and metalwork safety protocols.
Options for patinas and wax sealing will also be discussed.

Hi Catherine,
I would like to schedule a class experience for myself and my family (husband and 12 year old daughter). This would be a Christmas time, so the scheduling isn’t immanent. Is it necessary that we all learn the same task? My daughter would probably like to learn about jewelry making and my husband would likely be interested in that as well as the bowl making. We are a crafty household, and I think this would be a fun extension opportunity.
