Being careful goes a long way. Dropping, bumping, and messy storage can all lead to damaged jewelry.

Steamy bathrooms, beauty and cleaning products, and swimming pools can cause damage, especially with repeated exposure.

For general cleaning - rinse with warm (non-abrasive) soapy water and gently clean with fingers or a soft toothbrush. Pat dry with a soft cloth. Be sure jewelry is completely dry before storing.

Buff gently with a polishing cloth - for most other cleaning or slight tarnish. Sunshine cloth is an excellent brand.

Do not use liquid cleaners or chemical dips on pieces with gemstones or diamonds as they could damage stones.

It is solid sterling silver that I’ve treated with liver of sulfur to create a darkened finish.

The patina is embedded in the surface, but will polish with time and wear to show the bright silver underneath. Various factors (body chemistry, light exposure, etc) can slow or speed this change and it’s different for everyone.

The best part about this finish is it’s low maintenance (no tarnish to worry about!). Cleaning is generally unnecessary but rinsing in warm water does the trick if needed.

Most people love the timeless antique look darkened jewelry has with time and wear, but bringing it back to it's darker initial look is always an option.

I offer re-darkening at no charge. Just ask!

I make everything by hand in my Seattle studio. For some pieces, I carve wax by hand and have those parts cast into silver or gold by a company in Seattle.

I'm dedicated to making things that will last - avoiding throw-away culture. I believe high quality materials, exquisite craftsmanship, and responsible sourcing equal timeless heirlooms that endure.

I try my best to source all materials, metals, gemstones, and diamonds from ethical and sustainably focused companies.

More specifics on my sustainability practices and the companies (and their certifications) I work with can be found here.

Colors can vary from screen to screen and there’s nothing I can do about that.
In addition, some stones can have variation in texture and inclusions which add to their uniqueness but are impossible to capture online.

I want you to love your original CG art though, so contact me to discuss options.

Yes! For the most part.
I can remake current earring designs for 1/2 the price of a full pair.

You don’t know what happened, but you looked down and your necklace was in your lap?

From time to time, chain can get caught on things. After a bit, this causes links to weaken and break unexpectedly.
This is considered somewhat normal wear and tear.
But I can fix it!

Depending on the extent of damage needed, there may be a small charge.

All repairs are assessed on a case by case basis.
