Transmutation is a triptych that considers the aftermath of heartbreak and transition from seemingly uncontrolled darkness to lightness of being. The copper shells are hammered from flat sheet metal and envelop copper electroformed carved wax elements inset with gemstones. The nails are fabricated stainless steel.
